WHAT IT DOES

A laser level projects a straight line onto the wall or surface at a specific angle.

You can think of it as a more accurate version of a hands-free spirit level (especially over long distances or around corners).

This can cover a wide range of DIY uses such as putting up shelves, tiling, kitchen joinery, or fitting dado/picture rails whilst decorating.

SAFETY INFORMATION & PPE

Do not look directly into the laser beam, or aim it at other people.

No specific PPE is needed for using a laser level - but you may still need some for other tools, depending on your project.

YOU MAY ALSO NEED
  • Power BatteriesEssential. These are usually supplied, but you may need to replace them if power is running low.

HOW TO USE IT

The tool will need to be levelled, using the built-in bubble gauge. It works using gravity, a bit like a plumb line. The body of the laser needs to sit on the base. Usually there is a large brass screw on the bottom of the laser level that should be unscrewed. It will allow for the laser level to wobble about until it is still. This is then showing accurate horizontal and vertical lines and you can use a pencil to mark your lines.

Some levels have a self-levelling function which does this for you. But it might need some fine tuning. It works using gravity, a bit like a plumb line.

The tripod and adjustable base can be used to change height of the level.

You can fix that brass screw: this is useful if you are looking to get a line on a particular angle or following a particular line. Not to level. This is also useful when you're finished, to avoid the laser boucing around in transportation. So please when you finish, do tighten the brass screw so the laser isn't bouncing around in transportation. Thank you!
