WHAT IT DOES

A wet tile saw is similar to a table saw, but specifically for cutting tiles. A reservoir of water keeps the blade cool whilst you are cutting, which helps to prevent the tile from shattering. The tool is very portable, allowing you to cut tiles to size wherever you are working. Note that this tool can only be used for straight cuts.
Warning - using this tool can get messy. You will get wet. Please clean the tool before returning it to the Tool Library! The sooner you do this after using it, the easier it will be.
Not for use on brick or masonry; these materials need an angle grinder.

HOW TO USE IT

Our three top tips! Pass the tile through the blade, using a light touch. Do not force it - go slowly!
As said under safety, keep an eye on the water reservoir levels as you use it.
And clean the tool immediately after use - tile dust will mix with water to form a paste. This hardens if you don’t clean up soon afterwards.
