Impact Driver TOOL ONLY (ETL2723) In Stock Now

WHAT IT DOES

A cordless drill that uses impact as well as rotation. The cordless impact driver is more powerful than a regular drill, and is useful for firmly driving in fasteners, or loosening stuck or rusted screws (for extra tough jobs, a screw-extractor kit may be better).

WHAT IT DOES

An impact driver is an incredibly powerful tool for putting screws and/or bolts into or out of something.  It automatically adjusts the level of torque to the suitable amount, reducing the likelihood of threaded screws.  Drivers are better for putting screws in than drills.

HOW TO USE IT

Driving in screws?
If driving screws into new material, it is a good idea to drill a pilot hole first. This should be slightly thinner than the screw you are aiming to place, and the screw should follow the pilot hole’s route. As the screw is driven in further, the drill will slow down and emit a loud clicking sound. Stop driving the screw when it stops moving or has reached its proper depth.

Extracting screws?
When using an impact driver to extract a rusted or damaged screw, spray penetrating oil liberally on the screw and leave for 30-60 minutes (or per product instructions) before using the driver. If the impact driver can’t remove the screw, don’t force it as the screw head may snap off.
