WHAT IT DOES

The mitre saw consists of saw and base. This allows you to position the saw at precise angles. It is used to cut cross cuts or various angles accurately, usually in wood. It is useful for cutting 45 degree angles required to make picture frames, skirting boards or coving. It can also be used to accurately cut small pieces of wood to be the same length.

    HOW TO USE IT

    The base usually provides clamps to secure your work. It is important this tool is stable during use to ensure the most accurate cuts.

    If you are using wood with an irregular shape you may need to use a second piece of wood to create stability.

    Bear in mind that some saws cut on the forward stroke and others cut on the backward stroke, depending on which way the teeth are facing.
